People Registered

Please join us in honor of Ruby Jane Taylor, who should have been celebrating her next birthday this January. She fought a long, hard battle with liver disease, and passed away waiting for a transplant. She has inspired thousands to register to become organ donors. Watch the 1st Annual run here. This run will be held annually in Ruby’s home town, to celebrate her, and to continue her legacy of saving lives through organ donation. Both the 5k and 10k start and end at our sponsor. The courses heads northeast on the Live Oak Canyon Trail. The 5k is a simple out and back on the trail and the turn around point will be well marked. The 10k course follows the trail to Antonio Parkway, where participants will run around Trabuco Mesa Park, and by Ruby’s home, before running back along Antonio Parkway and back along the trail to the car dealership area and IN-N-OUT Burger. We will have the American Red Cross truck there for those that would like to donate blood, as well as Be The Match, for bone marrow. There will be a DJ, food, and fun! Even if you won’t be running, we would love to see you there!

Our Mission

Our mission, simply put, is to save lives. Our baby died waiting for a lifesaving surgery, that did not come in time. There was a cure for her, but she did not get it. We do not want this to happen over and over again. Our mission is to raise awareness about organ donation. We will also be working hard to enact legislation to enable parents to make easier decisions about organ donation for themselves and their families. Our mission, is to change the statistics. ⅓ of the 110,000 people waiting for organ transplants will die. In our opinion, that is ⅓ too many. Please consider being an organ donor. Please visit Donate Life for more information about Organ and Tissue Donation.
